How it all started

On January 08, 2020, when no one in our country had yet suspected any coronavirus and the coming crisis, I invited some of my graduates who were actively selling through tenders for a cup of tea.

It was the last non-working day after the New Year holidays. Tomorrow everyone had to go to work.

I asked the guys to share their life stories. Without preparation, on camera. They are not used to giving interviews. And each of them felt uncomfortable. But I explained to them that their stories, told without embellishment, would help many people radically change their financial situation, start a new business through tenders, and provide for their families.

In the end they all agreed. And based on the first four interviews, this book was created.

Literally two months later, we all had to plunge headlong into an unexpected crisis.

When entrepreneurs in our country went bankrupt en masse and closed their activities, our heroes met this situation with more than dignity. Some of them managed to earn more than before the crisis.

We were able to observe from the outside what their activities were like during the crisis and how they made money against the backdrop of mass self-isolation.

We planned to hold an official presentation of the book at a business conference on April 14, 2020 in Moscow. But, as we all know, in-person public events have become impossible to hold. And besides, the book had to be changed to suit current realities.

Believe me, these changes are insignificant. In “peaceful” times, this book will never cease to be relevant. And in a crisis, everyone needs it. Therefore, we tried to release it as quickly as possible.
