The certificate of registration with the tax authorities is the so-called TIN. More precisely, the paper on which the individual taxpayer number is written. It is a special account that helps keep track of all tax contributions of a person or organization.
As you might guess, each TIN is individual. And it is assigned to citizens upon receipt of taxpayer status. Not everyone knows this number. You can obtain a registration document from any nearby tax office. It does not matter at what address the citizen lives or is registered.

How to obtain a certificate for an individual? Several options are offered:
- you can contact the tax office in person, i.e. by visiting an inspector’s office during business hours with documents and an application;
- by sending a package of documents to the tax office using postal services;
- transfer a package of documents with the help of a third party (your representative).
It is clear that when visiting the inspection in person, no questions should arise from the taxpayer, unless, of course, he took all the papers necessary to issue the certificate.
If a citizen is going to transfer documents through the postal service, then it is advisable to prepare in advance so as not to receive a notification of refusal due to insufficient materials.
Since the time for issuing a certificate may take longer than originally expected. So, when sending documents by mail, what needs to be included there:
- completed application form 2-2-Registration for the issuance of a certificate;
- documents confirming the identity of the applicant;
- extract from the place of registration (residence).
All listed documents must be notarized, which certifies their authenticity. The parcel is sent to the tax authority with notification of receipt.
If neither the first nor the second option is relevant or possible for any reason for an individual, then an alternative solution is a representative of the individual.
For a representative, you must have with you the same documents as described above; if the citizen submitted them independently, only in addition you must have a notarized power of attorney with you.

Minors

Legal entities

It is a little easier for a legal entity to obtain a certificate. This number is assigned to him as soon as the taxpayer submits documents to register the organization with the tax office.

Individuals
